We did it again. For the fourth year in a row, Cookson has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing inner city businesses in the country — this time landing at #28 on the IC100 list, presented by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC). And honestly, this one feels special.
Since 1999, ICIC has spotlighted businesses growing in under-resourced communities. Being part of that list isn’t just a business milestone for us — it reflects the kind of company we’re trying to be.
The IC100 isn’t just about revenue. It recognizes companies that create jobs, fuel local economies, and help communities move forward. That’s the work we show up for every day. Our mission has always been to operate in purposeful, ethical and socially responsible ways — and to genuinely give back to the communities we’re part of. Seeing that reflected in a national ranking means a lot.
This growth has allowed us to invest in our team and deepen the ways we serve clients — bringing together strategic communications, digital, creative and brand services to support work that really matters: public health, education, workforce development and more. The IC100 rankings are based on revenue growth from 2020 to 2024. Our 193% growth puts us in the top 30 for the first time — and comes on the heels of recent spots on the Inc. 5000, the Boston Globe’s Fastest Growing Companies in New England, and the Financial Times’ Fastest-Growing Companies in the Americas.
