Jason Boucher

Director of Digital Marketing

Whether you’re talking about an industry-changing shift or simply a memorable event, it’s an exciting honor to reveal “I was there!” For Jason Boucher, however, that announcement is redundant, because you probably got the news from him in the first place. A trailblazing early adopter of social media storytelling for brands, Jason is always on the lookout for fresh perspectives, insightful anecdotes, and new ways to connect and engage.

Smiling man with glasses, a gray beard, and short hair, wearing a striped shirt and dark blazer.

Background

He was involved in an early version of the Social Media Club and served as president of the New Hampshire chapter not long after its inception. Prior to joining our team, Jason (or simply “Jay” to his friends and colleagues) spent over a decade leading social media campaigns at the University of New Hampshire as Director of Social Media. He was an essential piece of the creative team that shared stories of student success, innovative research and Wildcat pride. This included important contributions to the integrated marketing team for undergraduate admissions as well as being a frequent traveler and speaker at #HESM conferences. Jay is also a big fan of hockey and spent two years calling the shots for UNH Hockey as the play-by-play radio announcer.

Education: Master of Business Administration with a Marketing concentration from the University of New Hampshire (UNH); Advanced Social Media Strategy certificate from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Bachelor of Arts in History at Franklin Pierce University

Passions

Jay is not ashamed to be labeled a music nerd, because labels will come in handy later when you’re discussing his curated collection of albums ranging from classic jazz and new wave to indie rock and The Grateful Dead. That passion extends beyond the listening room: he sees many live shows each year and writes a music newsletter on Substack. If he’s ever missing, check the nearest record store, where he’s probably sifting through the bins for another vinyl gem.

When he’s not chasing sound, Jay spends time with his wife and two cats, kayaking, reading, or traveling north to Montreal to watch his beloved Canadiens chase another Coupe Stanley. He’s also a Wes Anderson fan — every frame counts.
